Australasia's leading independent vehicle safety authority, ANCAP SAFETY, has seen the Mazda CX-30 small SUV record a near-perfect score for Adult Occupant Protection with high scores also achieved across other key assessment areas.

Mazda CX-30 - 5 Star ANCAP Safety Rating

New SUV market entrant, the MG HS, offered good all-round safety however testing revealed a higher risk of injury in side impact crash scenarios.

The standout performer amongst the latest batch of ratings is the updated Tesla Model X (on sale from December 2019), achieving a record-equalling high score of 98% for Adult Occupant Protection and 94% for Safety Assist.

Hyundai's new small SUV, the Venue, scored 4 stars limited by its less advanced safety assist systems.

Mercedes-Benz's first all-electric production vehicle, the EQC, has been awarded the maximum 5 star ANCAP safety rating from Australasia's independent vehicle safety advocate, ANCAP SAFETY.
